Felix, Joseph and Krissa are part of an exhibition of New Mexican santos which opened on March 13, 2014, in Landshut, Germany. Landshut is in the region of Bavaria, not far from Munich. The organizer is Mr. Jorg W. Ludwig, a German who lives in Landshut. The venue is LA Projects Gallery which he owns and directs. The title of the show is: “The Saints From A Land So Remote: The living Tradition of Hispanic Religious Art in the American Southwest.” According to Mr. Ludwig, the exhibition features the works of the foremost contemporary Master santeros and santeras working in New Mexico, and will introduce a broad international public to the vibrant tradition of northern New Mexico cultural expression. There are twelve other New Mexican santeros and santeras who are represented. The exhibition will end on May 3, 2014.
The exhibition is scheduled to travel to other European venues during 2014.
